Terms & Conditions – Vegan Butcher's webshop

These terms and conditions apply to every order placed through our webshop shop.veganbutcher.be and constitute a binding agreement between you (the customer) and VEGAN HORIZONS BVBA.

2. Scope

By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions. The terms are presented clearly before checkout and can be downloaded or saved on a durable medium.

3. Offer & Information

We do our best to display all products, prices, and information correctly. Errors (such as pricing or stock) may occur. If we discover an error, we will contact the customer immediately and the order may be cancelled free of charge. All images are illustrative. Since many of our products are handmade or artisanal, minor variations may occur.

4. Prices

All prices are shown in euros and include VAT. Any delivery charges are displayed clearly before checkout. We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time. For confirmed orders, the price at the time of purchase applies.

5. Order & Formation of Agreement

An order is complete once the customer has finished the online checkout process, accepted the terms and conditions, and the payment has been successfully completed. The customer will receive a confirmation email.

6. Payment

Payments are made via the secure payment methods offered in the webshop. Orders are only processed after the payment is confirmed. If payment fails, the order will not be executed.

7. Delivery

We aim for fast and reliable delivery. All delivery times are indicative. If an order is unexpectedly delayed, we will inform the customer in time.

7.1 Delivery of chilled or frozen products

For perishable goods (such as chilled or frozen items), we use appropriate packaging and transport. The customer is responsible for immediately storing products correctly upon delivery (refrigerator or freezer, according to the product label).

7.2 Transfer of risk

The risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer only once the delivery is completed at the address provided by the customer.

8. Right of Withdrawal (Returns)

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

perishable goods or products with a limited shelf life;

products where the seal has been broken for hygiene reasons;

personalised or made-to-order products.

Since our range mainly consists of fresh, chilled or frozen goods, most items fall under these exceptions. We advise customers to read the product information carefully.

9. How to withdraw

If the right of withdrawal does apply:

Email us within 14 days of receipt, stating your name, order number and the product you wish to return.

You will receive instructions for sending back the product.

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer.

Refunds are issued within 14 days after receiving the returned product, provided it is sent back in its original condition.

10. Conformity & Warranty

We guarantee that our products meet the reasonable expectations of the customer and comply with legal requirements.

If there is an issue upon delivery (wrong item, damaged, incomplete):

notify us within 48 hours ideally with photos;

together we will find a suitable solution (replacement, store credit or refund).

Warranty does not apply if products were stored incorrectly, opened, or mishandled.

11. Complaints Procedure

We aim for full customer satisfaction. If you have a complaint, email us. We respond within 14 days. If no solution is found, the customer can contact: the European ODR platform: https://ec.europa.eu/odr/

12. Force Majeure

In cases of force majeure (such as strikes, technical issues, extreme weather, epidemics, transport issues, etc.), we are not liable for delays or non-delivery. We will work with the customer to find a reasonable solution.

13. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on the website. This explains which data we collect, why, and how long we store it.

14. Changes to the Terms & Conditions

We may update these terms. The version applicable is the version published on our webshop at the time of your order. Changes do not affect ongoing orders.

15. Applicable Law

All agreements are governed exclusively by Belgian law. Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts in the district where our registered office is located.
